When Shivam contacted me to take pictures of a surprise proposal, I was ecstatic! He wanted to propose to his girlfriend of four years in the most romantic city... Saint Augustine, Florida... During the Night of Lights! What more I can say?

I figured we could use the Castillo De San Marco as a background, what better icon to represent St Augustine?!  Since it was on a Saturday, the crowd couldn't have been avoided, but this made for a special story.  People in the background realized Shivam proposed and when she said yes, they cheered and applauded.  This emotional occasion was celebrated by the couple in the background with a display of affection.

We wanted to take advantage of the sunset colors as well as capturing the allure of the lights.  Mission accomplished!

This session couldn't have been more perfect; beautiful couple, great location, and nice weather!  And what better way to end a session with a picture of the Castillo de San Marco volunteers and members of the St Augustine Garrison in full costume!!  Epic!!
